Acceptable Use Policy
Purpose: This policy ensures our platform remains fast, secure, and available for all users. Violations may result in immediate suspension without refund.
1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Sandbox Platform's cloud compute resources. It applies to all sandboxes, browser containers, desktop containers, and ephemeral instances.
By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
2. Prohibited Activities
Strictly Prohibited
The following activities will result in immediate account termination:
2.1 Cryptocurrency and Mining
- Cryptocurrency mining of any kind (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, etc.)
- Running blockchain nodes for mining purposes
- Proof-of-work computations
- Mining pool participation
2.2 Network Abuse
- Denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks
- Port scanning or network probing without authorization
- IP spoofing or packet manipulation
- DNS amplification or reflection attacks
- Spam or unsolicited bulk messaging
- Operating open proxies or relays
2.3 Malicious Software
- Creating, distributing, or hosting malware
- Running botnets or command-and-control servers
- Phishing sites or credential harvesting
- Ransomware or extortion tools
- Exploit development targeting third parties
2.4 Illegal Content
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Content that exploits or harms minors
- Terrorist content or violent extremism
- Content illegal in your jurisdiction
2.5 Unauthorized Access
- Attempting to access other users' containers
- Circumventing security controls or isolation
- Credential stuffing or brute-force attacks
- Exploiting vulnerabilities in our infrastructure
2.6 Intellectual Property Violations
- Hosting pirated software or media
- Running torrent trackers for copyrighted content
- Circumventing DRM or copy protection
3. Resource Abuse
The following activities may result in throttling or suspension:
- Excessive resource consumption that impacts other users
- Running idle containers solely to consume resources
- Circumventing usage limits or quotas
- Creating excessive containers to bypass rate limits
- Sustained 100% CPU usage for non-legitimate workloads
4. Permitted Uses
Encouraged Uses
These are examples of legitimate, permitted uses of the Service:
- AI Agent Workloads: Running AI agents that browse, code, or automate tasks
- Automated Testing: End-to-end testing, browser automation, CI/CD pipelines
- Web Scraping: Legitimate data collection (respecting robots.txt and rate limits)
- Development: Code execution, development environments, prototyping
- Research: Security research on your own systems, academic projects
- Data Processing: ETL pipelines, batch processing, data transformation
- Demo Environments: Product demos, sandboxed presentations
5. Security Research
We support responsible security research with the following conditions:
- Research must only target your own containers and accounts
- Findings about our platform should be reported via our bug bounty program
- Do not attempt to access other users' data or containers
- Do not disrupt the Service or other users

6. Rate Limits and Quotas
To ensure fair usage, the following limits apply:
- API Requests: 1,000 requests per minute per account
- Concurrent Containers: Varies by plan (see pricing)
- Container Runtime: Maximum 24 hours per session (configurable)
- Storage: 10 GB per container (default)
- Network: 1 Gbps per container (burstable)
Enterprise customers can request higher limits.
7. Monitoring and Enforcement
We monitor for policy violations using:
- Automated detection of mining and network abuse
- Resource usage anomaly detection
- Abuse reports from third parties
- Traffic analysis for malicious patterns
We do not monitor the contents of your containers except when investigating reported violations.
8. Consequences of Violations
8.1 Minor Violations
- Warning notification
- Request to modify behavior
- Temporary throttling
8.2 Serious Violations
- Immediate container termination
- Account suspension pending review
- Forfeiture of prepaid credits
8.3 Severe Violations
- Permanent account termination
- Reporting to law enforcement
- Legal action for damages
9. Reporting Violations
To report abuse or policy violations:

Include relevant container IDs, timestamps, and evidence when reporting.
10. Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended in error:
- Contact appeals@ab0t.com within 30 days
- Provide context and explanation
- We will review and respond within 5 business days
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to address new threats or clarify rules. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
